Traditional Tibetan ritual and festival, Maqu County, Gansu.

During this festival, the men of Maqu ascend, Amnye Machen, their mountain deity. They then notch giant arrows into a quiver atop the mountain, howling prayers and throwing Windhorses (papers covered in prayers and iconography) into the air.
